Rachel Helden is a photo-based artist and writer from St. Louis, Missouri. Her work encourages softness in grief, discovering joy through creativity, and exploring the healing power of nature.
Recent work includes hosting a podcast: Grief Reset, where guests speak candidly about their own loss and healing, an illustrated memoir: Free Way: An Adventure Through Loss, about a solo road trip she took to all 50 states after going through a divorce and her father’s passing, a guided journal: Finding Harmony: Emotional Healing After Pregnancy Loss, and an interactive zine: In The Waiting: An Exploration For Cancer Patients and Their Loved Ones.
Rachel studied Photography at School of Visual Arts (MFA), Photography and Digital Imaging at Ringling College of Art and Design (BFA), and was a Landis Artist-in-Residence at Yellowstone National Park with Yellowstone Forever.
